The act of buying time is literally not possible. So as a perfectionist, I focus on optimizing my time. One of those optimizations is finding the best possible rides in the least amount of time. When you’re looking for the best MTB Trails to ride in Richmond Virginia with just an hour to spare, look no further. This loop offers challenging descents, techy climbs, flowy sections and everything in between. You’ll ride just under 11 miles and will be greeted by an impressive selection of cold beverages at the finish line.
Where are these MTB Trails?
This ride starts at the Dogwood Dell trail, characterized by flowy turns, sneaky kickers and some exposed roots and rocks. You’ll then connect to the North Bank Trail, a bit more difficult terrain with multiple rock gardens, larger roots, tougher climbs and more foot traffic to avoid. From there, the Belle Isle Skills Area offers a pump track, wood features and rock gardens to sharpen your trail riding skills. Finishing off, Forest Hill Park offers a variety of riding opportunities, similar to the previous trails and will test both your climbing and descending abilities. And as an added bonus: wrap up your ride with a cold beverage at the Outpost Bike Shop.
